About the Doctor –
A dentist that offers old-fashioned, individualized attention coupled with current leading-edge knowledge, technology, and skills is what sets Dr. Smith’s practice apart from the rest. Mutual respect, trust, and loyalty create the foundation for the long-lasting relationships between Dr. Smith and her patients in her thriving general dental practice. Dr. Smith believes in helping her patients better understand their clinical conditions and treatment options with individualized planning and personal attention.
Patients appreciate that Dr. Smith can successfully integrate professionalism and warm, friendly, and comfortable surroundings. Patients love the “homey” atmosphere her office provides, as well as her dedication to and belief that quality is the essence of integrity. Many of her patients describe her as a “perfectionist.”
Dr. Smith treats patients of all ages and offers a full scope of services from amalgam-free restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, root canals, and surgical therapy and TMJ dysfunction, sleep apnea, snoring cessation, sports guards and nightguards, and the treatment of periodontal disease. Her periodontal therapy includes bacteriological testing and laser therapy, along with the elimination of oral toxins that harm other organs, and the rebuilding of the immune system to stop bone loss and help promote bone regeneration. These procedures often eliminate the need for surgery – another plus for her patients. Because the medical field now recognizes periodontal disease as a medical condition, Dr. Smith works closely with physicians, cardiologists, and obstetricians to eliminate oral sepsis that affects these physiological systems in the body. Dr. Smith also helps patients enhance their smiles and boost their self-esteem through cosmetic dentistry and various methods of tooth whitening.
A graduate of the Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Smith is active in the dental community as a lecturer, mentor and care provider both in the Dallas area and as an annual member of mission teams which provide dental care to people in Third World countries.
